Heat Recovery Ventilation system
Mitsubishi Lossnay Heat Recovery Ventilation units consist basically of two ventilation ducts running past one another passing between the inside and the outside of a house. One carries cool, fresh air in and the other carries moist, stale air to outdoors. The air passes through a heat exchanger that allows the outgoing air to pass most of its heat into the incoming air without actually mixing the air together.
A powerful but quiet fan in the unit that can be adjusted for speed (airflow) or automatically depending on the temperature and humidity levels set by the controller. The humidity control is an extra cost option. Some units may also have a bypass fitted so on warmer days when it's cooler outside, cold outside air can be introduced into the home without touching outgoing air.
This Mitsubishi heat recovery system comes with 10 metres of flexible trunking, two adjustable ceiling vents and a two speed switch. This is ideal for medium homes, ideally a three bedroom bungalow. Many sizes of unit are available for every size home or commercial building.
Typical heat recovery ventilation units may consist of a single unit on one wall that ventilates the whole house over a period of time as doors open and close between rooms.
In larger homes and offices, there would be ceiling vents in each room feeding into trunking running between the floors or ceilings of the the building.
